Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a local woman on multiple drug charges.

Naomie Michelle Maddox Moro, 35, of the 1000 block of Kemp Rd., Minden, is charged with possession of Sch. II, possession of Sch. I and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Jason Parker said Deputy Maddox was on criminal patrol at a truck stop on Hwy. 79 Monday evening when he was confronted by the store clerk.

“The clerk was worried about a female inside a green Ford parked at a gas pump,” Parker said. “Deputy McCormick suggested it may be a domestic going on.”

According to reports, Deputy Maddox pulled his patrol car behind the Ford.

“Dispatch told the deputies the license plate belongs on a white Ford,” Parker said. “Then the deputies identified the driver as Joshua Moro and the passenger as Naomie Moro.”

Deputies reportedly received permission to search the vehicle.

“They located 2.1 grams of green leafy substance suspected to be Marijuana,” said the sheriff. “When they questioned Naomie, she pulled a black metal container from her clothing. It contained a plastic baggie with 1.1 grams of a white substance believed to be Methamphetamines.”

Further search of the vehicle uncovered a clear glass smoking device with a white substance inside and a plastic smoking device.

“Naomie said all of the items were hers,” Parker said.
