A Minden man and Vivian woman were arrested in the early hours Tuesday morning when police served a search warrant at a local motel.
Cody M. Studdard, 33, of the 500 block of Sullivan Dr., Minden, was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice and as a fugitive from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sarah D. Collins of the 500 block of West Nevade Ave., Vivian, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, obstruction of justice and as a fugitive from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said Ofc. Christopher Cayer and Lt. Det. Kenneth James served the warrant.
“As they were trying to gain entry to the room, the suspects could be heard trying to dispose of something unknown,” Cropper said. “A toilet could be heard being flushed multiple times.”
As officers gained entry, James reportedly located the methamphetamine in crystal and liquid form, baggies, scales and a firearm.
