Minden Police arrested a north Webster Parish woman last week with nine warrants through local law enforcement.
Cortoria Willis, 20, of the 400 block of 5th St., Springhill, is charged with driving under suspension, careless operation and as a fugitive from Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said Sgt. Jeremy Sitter was dispatched to the Jackson Street area around 8:30 p.m. in reference to “shots fired.”
“Dispatch advised the vehicle was a dark colored Chevrolet Camaro, and Sgt. Sitter saw it sitting at a local apartment complex,” Cropper said. “The officer made contact with the vehicle’s occupants – a male was driving, and there was a female passenger who gave officers a false name.”
According to reports, the female was identified as Willis, who has 2 warrants through Minden Police and 7 warrants for worthless checks through WPSO.
She was booked at MPD and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
