
Glenbrook Apaches bested Ouachita Christian Eagles 4-2 Wednesday, after taking the lead late in the game and guaranteeing one more meeting in a championship quest. The teams were tied at two in the top of the seventh when Jackson Waller doubled, scoring two runs.
A line drive to Dawson Day at first base, resulted in a double play that ended the game in the bottom of the inning.
Glenbrook was first to get on the board in the fourth when Ryan Reagan singled, scoring one run.
Ouachita took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Tucker Stutts doubled, scoring two runs to give the Eagles the edge 2-1.
Apaches captured the lead 4-2 in the top of the seventh when Hudson Glasscock drew a walk, scoring one run and Waller doubled, scoring two.
Easton Sanders earned the win for Glenbrook. He allowed 10 hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking two.
Karson Trichel took the loss for Ouachita. The righty went six and one-third innings, surrendering four runs on four hits, striking out 10 and walking four.
Waller led the Apaches with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1 for 4 on the day. Sanders went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead in hits, and Glenbrook turned two double plays, including the one at the bottom of the seventh that ended the game.
Glenbrook will play the winner of the Sacred Heart/Covenant Christian game in a semi-final match up at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 in Sulphur.
