AKA presents 2024 Fashionetta

The members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® Iota Rho Omega Chapter, are delighted to announce its upcoming 2024 Fashionetta to be held at 6 p.m. November 26 at the Minden Civic Center.

Fashionetta is one of the organization’s most highlighted events to raise funds that provide scholarships for young people and provide monetary donations to various organizations. Some of the organizations supported are St. Jude, the American Heart Association, the American Sickle Cell Anemia Association, Susan G. Komen, American Cancer Society, the Joe LeBlanc Food Pantry, and many other worthwhile causes as part of their “Service to all Mankind.”

Fashionetta is funded through the efforts of chapter members, contestants, and members of the various communities in which they serve.  Five young ladies will compete for the title of “Miss Fashionetta and the winner will be crowned on Tuesday, November 26.

Along with the beautiful young ladies competing for the title of “Miss Fashionetta”, PINK LUCY by Tiffany Walker, an award winning, celebrity designer/stylist will showcase “The Edge of Glam” and Jeremy Brown, a classically trained electric and acoustic hip-hop, pop, jazz, soul and gospel violinist will provide entertainment.

The five young ladies competing for Miss Fashionetta are Kamayiah Moore, Christin Simpson, Ansleigh Kadynn Walker, Airyanna Nicole Centris White, and Makenley Paige Wiggins.

Tickets may be bought at the door or purchased from any Iota Rho Omega Chapter member.  Admission is $10.
