On Tuesday, July 22, the Minden Civic Center was filled with fellowship, worship, and a powerful testimony during this month’s Women of Courage event.

The evening featured an impactful message from guest speaker Kat Arnold, whose heartfelt testimony stirred and inspired attendees from all over the community.

Music was led by the worship team from First Assembly of Minden, setting the tone for a spirit-filled night.

This month’s highlighted ministry was House of Grace, a faith-based refuge located in Princeton, Louisiana, which provides a safe haven and spiritual support for women in need.

Founded with the mission to engage, encourage, and empower women, Webster Parish Women of Courage brings together women of all ages, denominations, and backgrounds to share real stories and build meaningful community rooted in faith.

The organization meets every other month on the third Tuesday, and three times a year partners with Webster Parish Men of Courage for joint Families of Courage events.

Becca Wilder, the original Director and Founder, served faithfully for three years after answering God’s call to launch the ministry. As 2024 came to a close, Wilder stepped back to focus on her growing family. In January of this year, D McCoy stepped into the role of Director.

“My prayer for this organization is to reach women with real messages from real women who have walked through real experiences. Sharing how God loves us and wants a personal relationship with us,” said McCoy.

One attendee, Alicia Snider, shared how the event impacted her:

“Kat Arnold spoke straight to my soul. Her testimony, her fire, her courage – it lit something in me. I walked in expecting a good message, but I left filled, challenged, and encouraged to walk boldly in the calling God has placed on my life.”

The evening also included a buffet-style dinner, graciously served with the help of the Minden Evening Lions Club.
