The guest speaker at the Minden Lions Club’s May 27 meeting was full of energy and information! FBI Special Agent Chris Plants captivated the audience as he talked about his time as an undercover agent, work with the Crimes Against Children Task Force and SWAT, and military service during Operation Desert Storm.
Then he flipped the script and spoke about his calling from God to reach the men of Webster Parish by organizing a monthly Men of Courage/Man Church event here. More than 210 men showed up at the Madden Contracting assembly hall last week to hear the Word and fellowship with one another. The response was so great that the Minden Civic Center was booked for the June 17 event. Chris wants to extend an invitation to all men to attend and enjoy a free meal, music, door prizes, and a powerful message by Luke Hockenjos.
