Ewell Park re-grand opening will include much food and fun

Minden Mayor Terry Gardner has announced there will be a re-grand opening of Ewell Park from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.

“We are asking for donations from the council and other community leaders and businesses to help with food and door prizes for everyone,” Gardner said. “I will be donating a flat screen TV for the grand prize during bingo, and I will be cooking hot dogs and hamburgers.”

There will be food, basketball tournaments and bounce houses for the kids, from 2 until 6 p.m.
“We will be having bingo games with some great door prizes,” the mayor said.

Yocum Law Firm has donated two bicycles for give-away. b1 Bank will provide chips, cookies and drinks and the Greater Minden Chamber of Commerce is donating donuts for the morning and two door prizes for the bingo game.
