A Minden woman is behind bars after refusing to leave a Family Dollar Store on Shreveport Road.
Kami Dodge, 31, of the 1200 block of Shreveport Rd, was arrested by Minden Police and charged with two counts of resisting an officer by force and remaining after forbidden.
Chief Steve Cropper said Officer Chris Cayer was dispatched to the store in reference to a subject who refused to leave after being told by staff.
“When the officers arrived, the staff informed them there was a female with red hair who refused to leave,” Cropper said. “The officers verified with employees that the female, later identified as Kami Dodge, was told to leave and refused.”
When officers placed Dodge under arrest, she reportedly began resisting Off. Cayer, who was assisted by Off. Anthony Miller and Lt. Brandon Curry.
“During the apprehension, Dodge attempted to kick Off. Miller and strike Off. Cayer,” said the chief. “She was eventually handcuffed and transported to MPD. Once there, she continued to resist officers and had to be carried into the police department where she continued to try kicking officers until she was placed in a holding cell.”
Dodge was booked and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center
