Glenbrook School will host its homecoming court coronation Friday night.
The Journal partnered with the local school to bring our readers the bios of each member of the 2021-2022 Glenbrook School Homecoming Court.
On Friday, the pre-game introduction of this year’s queen and her court will take place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Kick off time has been set for 7 p.m. for the game against Plain Dealing.
Court Bios:
Freshman Maid: Hallie Marie Harmon
Hallie is the daughter of Seth & Jessica Harmon. Her escort for Thursday morning is Easton Sanders. Her escort for Friday night is her father, Seth Harmon.
Honors (In and out of school): Member of the 2020 State Runner-Up softball team
Activities (In and out of school): Member of the Glenbrook Sundancers as well as a member of the Lady Apache Softball, Basketball, and track teams; Hallie also spends her time playing travel softball.
Other interests: Volunteering at her church, cheering on her brother at football and baseball games, shopping, and hanging out with her friends
Plans for the Future (general): Attend LA Tech or Louisiana State University
Freshman Maid: Caroline Belle Thurman
Caroline is the daughter of Jason and Rebecca Thurman. Her escort for Thursday morning is Dawson Day. Her escort for Friday night is her father, Jason Thurman.
Activities (In and out of school): Caroline enjoys playing basketball, participating in her youth group at Minden Presbyterian Church, and swimming on the Minden Tennis and Aquatic Club swim team each summer. She also enjoys teaching swimming lessons to children every summer.
Other interests: Caroline sings and plays the piano and electric guitar; She enjoys traveling to new places such as Italy, Hawaii and Niagara Falls. Caroline also loves to spend time with her best friends and family especially her sister Mollie. Another interesting fact about Caroline is that she rubs her dad’s bald head for good luck before each of her performances.
Plans for the Future (general): After high school, Caroline hopes to move to Nashville, Tennessee, and pursue a career in singing and songwriting.
Sophomore Maid: Kalyn Laine Williams
Kalyn is the daughter of Alyssa Speer & Mark Williams. Her escort for Thursday morning is Jackson Lott. Her escort for Friday night is her father, Mark Williams.
Honors (In and out of school): Sophomore class female representative, UCA (United Cheer Association) All American cheerleader
Activities (In and out of school): GHS cheerleader since the seventh grade, member of First United Methodist Church, designing logos and stickers for the company my dad works for.
Other Interests: Hanging out with friends, Playing with her dog, Scout
Plans for the Future (General): Attend LSU, major in biology to earn a doctorate in physical therapy, and work with sports teams.
Junior maid: Olivia Catherine Blackwelder
Olivia is the daughter of Kent and Lindsay Blackwelder. Her escort for Thursday morning is Turner Mclelland. Her escort for Friday night is her father, Kent Blackwelder.
Honors: Olivia was recently elected President of the Junior class, a position she also held her Freshman Year. She served as Sophomore Class Representative and was voted Sophomore Class Favorite. Olivia maintains a 3.5 GPA and has been on the High Honor Roll all throughout high school.
Activities (In and Out of School): Olivia loves sports and enjoys cheering on the Apaches. She is in her 5th year as a Glenbrook Cheerleader. This summer she earned the honor of UCA All-American Cheerleader and was chosen as Miss Congeniality at cheer camp. Olivia is a 2-time recipient of the coveted UCA Pin-It Forward Award and is a past recipient of the Glenbrook Cheer Leadership Award. Olivia is also in her 5th year as a member of the Lady Apache Basketball team and track team and was a member of the Lady Apache State Champion Track team in the Spring of 2021.
Olivia enjoys volunteering with the Louisiana Special Olympics, the Minden St. Jude Auction and the Webster Parish CASA Christmas. She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Minden, where she is a part of the FBC Youth Group and helps with Vacation Bible School.
Plans For the Future: After high school, Olivia plans to attend Louisiana Tech University and major in Sports Marketing.
Senior Maid: Mary-Evelyn King
Mary is the daughter of Doug and Angela King. Her escort for Thursday morning is Collin Gregg. Her escort for Friday night is her father Doug King.
Honors (In and out of school): President of Christian Club, Best-In-Show in several Art festivals, Tennis All-District for 4 years, and a member of the National Honor Society
Activities (In and out of school): Mary-Evelyn participates in her youth group at Minden Presbyterian Church; she is a member of the Apache Tennis team, Yearbook staff, aviation club, and she has also been a member of the quiz bowl team.
Other interests: In her spare time, Mary-Evelyn enjoys playing tennis with her dad, traveling, painting, drawing, and listening to music.

Princess: Vivian Reese Hanson
