Liz Talley
For those interested in the essential elements of writing fiction, plan to attend an event at 5 p.m. Monday, November 8 at the Minden Main Branch of the Webster Parish Library.
Driving a GMC: The Essential Elements of Writing Fiction will feature local authors Liz Talley and Phylis Caskey.
Talley is the author of 30 heartwarming stories of love and laughter. A finals in both the Golden Heart and Rita awards, she’s garnered number one spots on Amazon Romance lists and appeared on the USA Today Bestsellers list.
Robin Carr says, “laughter and tears spring from the pages,” while Kristan Higgins says her stories are “written in a warm, intelligent voice.”
Talley makes her home in North Louisiana with her high school sweetheart, two teen boys and three dogs. When not writing romance, she likes to read, volunteer and watch Netflix.
Since she is from Minden, Talley spent many of her formative years at the Webster Parish Library. They are excited to host this hometown USA Today bestselling author.
She can be reached at http://www.liztalleybooks.com.
Phylis Caskey
Caskey is the author of Skinny Dipping in Cane River, a retro mystery novel set in her home state of Louisiana. Recently she released Windrush, The Last of the Scythians, on Amazon’s newest platform Vella.
It quickly became a crowned favorite in the historical and action/adventure categories. During the first week of publication, it listed as number 30 out of thousands of new Vella releases.
Caskey lives in Shreveport with her husband and dog, occasionally visiting her two grown children.
Registration is required to hear these ladies. To sign up, contact Shelley at 318-371-3080 Ext. 142 or reserve your spot using the Webster Parish Library’s mobile app.
