Keith Allen McDaniel, 45, of 3rd St. SW, Springhill, is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, racketeering, simple battery, simple robbery and aggravated second degree battery.
Chief Will Lynd said McDaniel was found to have a backpack with a handgun and ammunition.
“Warrants were obtained for the felon in possession of a firearm and racketeering, due to his several felony convictions,” Lynd said. “Bonds total $125,000.”
According to reports, in June, 2021, McDaniel committed battery on a female victim, grabbing her throat and forcing her to the floor inside her residence.
“He held her down and took $300 from her left front pocket,” Lynd said.
