A Louisiana State Police traffic stop on Interstate 20 near Goodwill Road in Webster Parish netted troopers three arrests and approximately 300 pounds of Marijuana.

TFC. Jayson Linebaugh stopped the vehicle, which was traveling eastbound around 2 p.m. Monday. According to reports, the vehicle, driven by Peng Zhao, crossed the fog and center lines multiple times.

TFC. Linebaugh’s report said Zhao appeared to be extremely nervous. When speaking with passengers Wei Zhao and Ming Li, the trooper reported they had conflicting stories concerning their travel and then refused to give consent to search the vehicle.

A second trooper arrived on scene and deployed K-9 “Spike.” The dog gave a positive response to the vehicle, giving the troopers  cause to search. They discovered the 300 pounds of Marijuana in multiple trash bags and boxes throughout the vehicle.

Peng Zhao, 43, of Arcadia, Calif., was charged with possession of CDS Sch. I with intent to distribute, improper lane usage and criminal conspiracy.

Wei Zhao, 52, and Ming Li, 34, both of San Gabriel, Calif., were charged with possession of CDS Sch. I with intent to distribute and criminal conspiracy.

The trio was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
