The Louisiana National Guard is teaming with the Webster Parish Health Unit to ensure adults who want the Covid vaccination, can get it – along with a little extra Christmas gift.
“They (National Guard) are the ones who are doing this,” Angie Greer, Nursing Supervisor, said. “They will be giving the shots and they are supplying $100 gift cards for people getting their first Covid shots.”
The Guard was at the health unit Tuesday, but Greer said they only administered around 10 shots.
“We give them daily at the health unit,” she said. “We give between 40 and 50 because we can give boosters and children’s shots. That’s something they (Guard) can’t do.”
The Louisiana National Guard will be at the Webster Parish Health Unit, 1200 Homer Rd., from 8 a.m. until noon Friday, December 17 and at the same times Monday, December 20.
