Art at The Farm in the works

Cultural Crossroads of Minden and The Farm have been awarded a Louisiana project grant, thanks to Shreveport Regional Arts Council and Louisiana Office of Cultural Development Division of the Arts.

With this funding, Art at The Farm will be implemented, a new program that highlights an old concept.

Jennifer Heard, who has taught art classes at The Farm for several years will also teach the new classes. The difference is there will now be 30 spots available to students ages 4 to adult, free of charge.

The program is intended to benefit a low-income demographic, so spots will be filled using an income-based tier system. An application and three works of art must be submitted.

There will also be some paid spots available at $50 per month.
