Lion Jared McIver will be the guest speaker for Thursday’s noon meeting of the Minden Lions Club.
Jared recently retired from the La. Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries following 21 years of service. Prior to that, he worked five years with the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office. He is currently employed as a part-time officer with the Minden Police Department.
Jared is married to the former Mariah LeDoux. He has three children: Logan, who is in the Navy; London, who is in college; and Tristin, age 19 months.
Jared will be speaking on his time in law enforcement, hiring criteria to become an agent with LDWF and the job duties of an agent.
The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 W. Pine St. in Minden.
