The City of Minden will begin a systematic flow test of all fire hydrants as required by Louisiana Property Insurance regulations on Monday, March 21.
Testing will start in the southeast area of the city (east of Sibley Road to Fincher Road) and south of downtown to the city limits.
Work may continue up to 45 days.
Utiliserve is the contractor and will be working out of appropriately-marked vehicles.
Residents may see temporary discoloration in the water supply. Utiliserve recommends opening the cold water faucets and flush until the water clears.
