By Bonnie Culverhouse

Police are still seeking information concerning a shooting that took place Sunday around 10 p.m. at the Sibley Road Chevron Station in Minden.

According to reports, two male individuals exchanged gunfire after one took offense to a social media post.

“The one who took the round was arrested back when we rounded up members of the TTS gang, but we are unsure at this time if Sunday night was a gang-related shooting,” said Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper.

The chief said the victim’s brother took him to Minden Medical Center for a non life-threatening wound to the upper extremities.

“He is not under arrest at this time,” Cropper said. “In fact, there have been no arrests in connection with the actual shooting. The brother who took him to the hospital was arrested for disturbing the peace afterward.”

The investigation is still on-going at this time. If you have any information about this incident or any other crime please contact the Minden Police Department.
