A residence in the 700 block of Sibley Road was the scene of a drive-by shooting around 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Sources say multiple shots from an unknown vehicle struck the house at least twice, with one bullet going through a front window.

“We received two separate calls from the 700 block of Sibley Road at approximately 1:30 this morning,” Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said Monday afternoon. “Calls reported hearing 5 to 6 gunshots.”

Several subjects were reportedly outside at the time of the shooting. No one was able to give a vehicle or suspect description even though the shooter was allegedly “hanging out the car window.”

“We had 4 individuals state they were sitting on their porch when a vehicle drove down Sibley Road and fired 5 to 6 shots,” Cropper said. “Individuals sitting on porch couldn’t give a vehicle description.

While officers located bullet holes in the front of the house, they did not locate any spent casings, said the chief.
