Minden Police have arrested a local man for threatening a hospice nurse.

Timothy M. Grim, 52, of the 300 block of Lee St., Minden, is charged with disturbing the peace by intoxication, aggravated assault and false imprisonment with a weapon.

Chief Steve Cropper said Off. Kayla Little was dispatched to the 900 block of East Street, in reference to a disturbance. Sgt. Mitch Hackett and Lt. Spencer Tippen were also dispatched to assist.

“When officers arrived, Lt. Chris Hammontree advised he was out with the suspect around Bolen Street,” Cropper said. “Officers spoke to the female complainant who said she had been assaulted by Grim. As a hospice nurse she had been on East Street, caring for Grim’s relative who lives next door.”

When the woman first arrived at the residence, Grim was reportedly sitting in the carport, drinking a beer and holding a walking stick.

“She said he was talking out of his head,” Cropper said. “Grim started beating on the hood of her vehicle with the stick. She said she got an unsettled feeling and feared his bizarre behavior, so she put her pistol inside her bag before entering the residence.”

Grim reportedly followed the complainant into the residence, yelling and threatening her.

“He told her he would kill her and refused to leave,” said the chief. “That’s when we were called.”

When Hammontree found Grim, he was reportedly drinking beer and had the wooden walking stick with him.
