North Webster High School held their annual Meet the Knights event last Thursday to introduce the school’s football team and spirit groups to the community. The evening was led by Cheer and Lady Royale sponsor, Mrs. Terri Orr. The Band of Armor, Knightline, cheerleaders, flagline, Lady royales, and auxiliary each performed for the sold-out crowd in the gym, also known as The Castle! Our big night even included an appearance from the school mascot, Knightro.
Each class of football players introduced themselves, followed by the spirit groups. Each group put on spectacular performances and the excitement in the room was contagious. The players, coaches, parents, and the whole student body were so pumped up for the season by the end of the night.
As always, we ended Meet The Knights with our famous grand finale, the mash-up! The spirit groups and the football players sang and danced to a medley of pop culture songs, most of which are trending on Tik Tok and the radio. My favorite part of the mash-up is always when the seniors have their special song played and they have a moment to dance with just their class. Meet the Knights 2022 was definitely one to remember.
