Waller to address Minden Lions

Guest speaker for Thursday’s noon meeting of the Minden Lions Club will be Rachel Waller.

Rachel, a native of Minden, is expanding her real estate company from Shreveport back to her hometown. After her father, Mike Waller, made the decision in late 2021 to downsize and relocate his homestead, Rachel purchased her father’s ranch with plans to develop it into a 40-plus acre event venue. The site features four stocked fishing ponds, an historic Germantown cabin, a renovated barn pavilion, swimming pool and walkable gardens for guests to enjoy. One cabin is currently available and has hosted overnight guests since January. Another cabin will be finished soon in time for the holiday season.

Rachel’s site has been renamed Corbeau Creek – a nod to its French eclectic styling and to the creek which runs through the property. Plans and renovations are under way and bookings will be accepted beginning this fall. For more information, visit Corbeau Creek’s Facebook page and website at corbeaucreek.com.

Rachel will be introduced Thursday by Lion Kyle Robertson.

The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at The American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 Pine St. in downtown Minden.
