It’s almost time for the annual Webster Parish Fair and it always kicks off with a parade through historic downtown Minden.

Entries for the parade must be received by September 30 for the October 4 event.

In the entry form for the parade, participants need to list name of the group, name of sponsor (if any), address, phone number ad approximately number of people in group.

The type of entry should be designated: drill team, float, band, marching group, auto or truck.

According to Sherrie McMurray with Minden Evening Lions, the parade’s pace will be slow enough for groups to perform routines, therefore, when the parade is started there will be no stopping of any group.

Line up for the parade is 3:30 p.m.; start time is 5 p.m.
