Several issues regarding the Village of Dixie Inn Police Department will be discussed when the Board of Aldermen meet in regular session Tuesday, September 9.
The Board will discuss the request by Chief James Edwards to go to part time employment as well as hiring an additional police officer. They will also consider re-establishing the reserve officer program that was tabled in last month’s meeting. Also, the Board will discuss ordering a 2023 police truck to replace the oldest vehicle currently in use by the department.
In other new business, the Board will approve the engagement letter for Cook & Morehart for the 2021 – 2022 audit.
Other agenda items include:
- Adopt the minutes of the August 9, 2022 regular session
- Adopt the financial statements for August 9, 2022
- Hear department reports for: water/maintenance, police, aldermen and mayor
The Board of Aldermen will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 13 in Village Hall located at 60 Shell Street in Dixie Inn. The meeting is open to the public.
