MONROE – The North Webster Knights hit the road Thursday taking on the Wossman Wildcats in a district 1-3A showdown.
For one half, the Knights had hopes of gaining their first win on the season. Wossman dashed those hopes early in the third quarter, turning a 16-6 game into 38-6 route.
North Webster’s offense once again wasn’t able to gain much traction, while the defense struggled to slow down yet another fast and furious opposing offense.
The Knights scored their only touchdown of the evening when Collin McKenzie found Cooper Sanders for a 30-yard touchdown. Otherwise, there were too many mistakes and turnovers for North Webster to overcome.
The Knights (0-5) return home next Friday to take on the Union Parish High School Farmers.
