Minden Police have arrested a local man who has 15 outstanding warrants.
Telvin D. West, 29, of the 100 block of Squire St., Minden, was taken into custody when officers responded to a call in the 100 block of Timothy Dr., in reference to children burning tires.
“When they arrived, the officers found Telvin West behind the residence,” said Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper. “The officers learned it was actually West burning the tires.”
In checking with dispatch, officers learned West has warrants for resisting an officer, obstructing public passage, threatening a public official, flight from an officer, 2 for possession of marijuana, 2 for disturbing the peace by intoxication, criminal mischief, misrepresentation during booking, obstruction of a highway, disturbing the peace, simple criminal damage to property, criminal mischief and littering.
Prior to leaving the scene, the fire was extinguished.
