Local NNO parties had great turnouts

The Town of Sibley National Night Out brought hundreds together last night (October 11). People of all ages, races and parties gathered beside the Sibley Town Hall to enjoy food and fellowship with their neighbors.

The NNO event had a wide variety of activities ranging from food, games, balloon animals, treats, bounce houses, music and a bubble party.

The Webster Parish Libraries, Entergy, Yellow Pine Christian Church and Louisiana Home Health had booths set up, distributing loads of goodies and informational materials.

It was a wonderful opportunity for multiple first responders, town leaders and citizens to gather in one place to enjoy a night of community awareness and camaraderie.

City of Minden had few parties but made up for the amount with the number of attendees.

In District A, St. Rest Baptist Church, 611 East Union Street, hosted hundreds of residents with a themed event: “This Church Loves & Supports Christ and Community.”

Kay and Jerald McGuire hosted a party at their home at 362 Carey Lane.

In District B, Greater Blessing Church of God in Christ, 409 Sibley Road, hosted a “Love Thy Neighbor” party.

Districts C, D and E scheduled no parties with city hall.
