Minden experienced a control blackout Wednesday that lasted just over an hour.
According to Mayor Tommy Davis, there was a downed tree on a main feeder line on Sibley Road.
“The only way we can shut the main off is at the steam plant, and it’s going to shut everything down,” Davis said. “We can’t work on it while it’s hot.”
Davis said the city got everything in place to cut before shutting off the power.
