When Louisiana voters go to the polls on November 8 they will be asked to vote on 8 constitutional amendments for our state. These amendments will affect voters in various areas from taxes, water bills, and disabled veterans. The amendments as they appear on the ballot are often wordy and complicated, sometimes confusing voters about what they are voting on.
The Webster Parish Journal will publish a series of articles breaking down the amendments using the PAR Guide (Public Affairs Council) to the amendments and contacting legislators for their opinions. The articles will explain what a yes or no vote means to voters.
These articles are not intended to influence your vote, only to create awareness and inform voters on the issues they will vote on. Voters are encouraged to look at several sources of information to form their own opinions.
