
The Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Jerry Stephens has been selected as the Christmas Parade Grand Marshal for 2022. The Chamber Parade, sponsored by Springhill Medical Center, is set to roll at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 26 with a fun theme of “Home for the Holidays.”
Deadline is November 21 to enter your float, horses, and any other parade entrants.
Chamber Executive Director Ronda Taylor said the parade will start at South Main Mall and proceed north on Main Street turning right on Clinic Street and then turning right on 1st Street and continue back to the parking lot.
“Immediately following the parade everyone is invited to visit the City Park where Santa will be in the Gazebo, Food Trucks, and other activities sponsored by Springhill Main Street,” Taylor said.
Stephens served Springhill as Chief of Police for five executive terms. He served his community with 32 years in law enforcement. Stephens was active in his community where he served on the Chamber of Commerce board, President of Shriner Club, Vice-President of Springhill Lions Club, a member of Springhill Masonic Lodge #348, Springhill’s Outstanding Young Man Award from Jaycees, and an active member of Central Baptist Church. Jerry was an avid baseball and slow pitch softball player. He coached little league, Dixie Boys, and American Legion Baseball.
Stephens is married to Diane Stephens and is father to Holli Taylor and Heath Stephens. He is a proud father and grandfather.
The Chamber encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the day and kick off the Christmas season with a 5K Reindeer Run, Mistletoe Market, visits with Santa, shopping our local small business and the Coco Crawl on Main Street. End the night with the Christmas parade at 5 p.m. and Main Streets Christmas activities in the park!
