Minden Police have arrested a local man for felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Terrance Lyons, 30, of the 1300 block of Sheppard St., Minden, is being held on a $200,000 bond at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
Chief Steve Cropper said Ofc. Chris Cayer made contact with the mother of a 16-year-old female last week after she discovered the teen was having a relationship with Lyons.
“She found messages on her juvenile daughter’s phone,” Cropper said. “They were between her daughter and Lyons and detailed encounters dated November 3, between the two in Facebook Messenger.”
The chief said Det. Shane Griffith obtained a warrant for Lyons and on November 8, Shreveport City Police Department served the warrant in Shreveport. He was taken into custody without incident and taken to Shreveport City Jail, where the detective took custody and transported him to Minden PD for questioning.
