Local church opens doors for Bible study

How many times have you come across something in the Holy Bible that you don’t understand? Something mysterious? Not a mystery of the Bible, per se, but something buried in the text of the No. 1 selling book in the world. But then, sometimes obvious?

What do you do? Do you skip over it? If it doesn’t seem familiar, it’s because your preachers or Sunday School teachers have also tip-toed around it.

Those mysterious words, phrases, and even events are the subject of a non-denominational Bible Study being presented every Tuesday at the Minden Presbyterian Church, 1001 Broadway.

Each week a compilation of the non-clerical bibliography for the 30-minute study is distributed.

Then a free lunch is served beginning at 11:30, with the Bible Study running from noon until 12:30 sharp. An optional question-and-answer period with pastor, Keith Marriot, follows.

The public is invited to enjoy a free lunch, and to dive into the “not-so-obvious” mysteries of the Holy Bible every Tuesday at the Minden Presbyterian Church in downtown Minden.
