Webster Parish Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a local man on drug charges and confiscated $26,000 in illegal narcotics.

Mikel G. Stegall, 42, of the 600 block of Childs Road, Minden, is charged with possession with intent to distribute 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine.

Sheriff Jason Parker said Maj. Phillip Krouse and Capt. Bobby Igo III executed a search warrant at the Childs Road address Wednesday before noon after receiving information of a large quantity of illegal controlled dangerous substance at that location.

“Detectives located a natural void in a karaoke speaker,” Parker said. “Inside was a sealed clear plastic baggie containing a large amount of suspected methamphetamine.”

The sheriff said Stegall admitted full ownership of the narcotics. He was booked at WPSO and transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
