The NFC Championship game was played at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, home of the #1 Seed Philadelphia Eagles. This matchup between the San Francisco 49’ers vs the hometown Eagles was pretty lopsided.
Eagles offense was led by quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts was able to do basically whatever he wanted to do against the 49’ers defense which really surprised me. Hurts threw for 121 yards, throwing 15 completions on 25 attempts and rushing 11 times for 39 yards and scoring 1 touchdown. Just as impressive as the Eagles offense was, the Defense was even better. The Eagles defense is very deep and the new additions of Ndamukong Suh and Linval Joseph to help strengthen the inside of the D-line has really paid off for the Eagles. The final score was Eagles 31 and 49’ers 7. The Eagles move on to Super Bowl 57 to face the AFC champion.
The AFC Championship game was the same exact game as last year when the Cincinnati Bengals had to travel to Kansas City Missouri’s famous Arrowhead Stadium, home of the Kansas City Chiefs. This game featured in my opinion, the best 2 quarterbacks in the NFL with Joe Burrow of the Bengals and Patrick Mahomes of the Chiefs. Our home town hero, L’Jarius Sneed was injured early with a concussion and was not able to return to the game. I was worried that with Sneed out that Joe Burrow would take advantage of the replacement for Sneed but that was not the case. Burrow did do well but Patrick Mahomes picked up a huge first down on his bum ankle that sealed the win for the Chiefs. This will be the Chiefs’ 3rd Super Bowl in the past 4 seasons.
Super Bowl 57 will be played Sunday February 12th at State Farm Stadium in Glendale Arizona. This super bowl will be between the Philadelphia Eagles vs the Kansas City Chiefs. With the news that Sneed has passed all of the NFL’s concussion protocols I believe that my prediction is that the Chiefs will win 35 to 23. I believe that Mahomes will score 3 touchdowns and that Jalen Hurts will throw 1 pick to Minden’s own L’jarius Sneed.
Win or loose, I plan on begging, I mean asking L’jarius Sneed to let me interview him and having that story soon.
