The Greater Minden Chamber of Commerce, along with City of Minden, Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College – NLTCC, Coordinating & Development Corporation, Louisiana Workforce Commission, and the Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections are joining forces to put people to work.
From 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Wednesday April 5, these organizations will be present with employers from the area at Minden Civic Center.
“We’re really excited about the number of employers and resource providers who will be present,” said Chamber Executive Director Stephanie Barnette. “We have more than 70 registered.”
Along with employers, NLTCC Nursing Students will be available to do health screenings, the Louisiana Workforce Mobile Command Van will be present, and NLTCC will have their CDL Simulator onsite as well.
“We are encouraging the public to bring multiple copies of their resumes and come dressed to impress as interviews will be taking place on the spot,” Barnette added. “We’re very thankful for our partners who are helping us put this event together. We could not do it without them.”
A variety of businesses will be represented including – manufacturing, retail, medical, law enforcement and many more. Businesses or service providers registered thus far include:
