A large crowd of Greater Minden Chamber of Commerce and Webster Parish Convention & Visitors Commission representatives welcomed The Villas at Spanish Court to the Minden community on Monday, April 3, 2023. Developer and entrepreneur Sara McDaniel, owner of “Simply Southern Cottage” (holding scissors), cut the ribbon officially welcoming the eight newly-renovated, boutique-style rental properties, which are located on West Union Street. Among those assisting with the ribbon-cutting were Minden Mayor Nick Cox, Sara’s mom, Diane Carroll; Villas at Spanish Court Assistant Manager and Chamber Board Member Brandi Cade, and Chamber President & CEO Stephanie Barnette. At the time of their construction in 1931, the quaint “Spanish Court” apartments were considered the most modern in the State of Louisiana.
