Annual chamber banquet delivers multiple awards

Springhill North Webster Chamber of Commerce’s 69th Annual Awards Banquet was a night of great food, networking and awards.

“Congratulations to Mr. Lamar Smith,” said Chamber Manager Ronda Taylor. “He was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Chamber Banquet.”

Outgoing chamber President Sheila Bankhead received her gavel from incoming President Will Whitehead and Taylor.

Brianna Savoy of Studio B and Escape the Knight was named Businesswoman of the Year.

“To be a part of a community that stands behind you, and continuously supports you is truly like no other,” Savoy said! “If someone would have told me 5 years ago that this is where I would be today, I 100% would not have believed them.”

Robert Smith from Smith South Central Sales was named Businessman of the Year, and Jan and Ronnie Hearnsberger were honored as Ambassador of the Year for Piney Woods Jamboree.

Grace Closet took home Civic Award. 

Carter Credit Union was named Business of the Year. Accepting the award on their behalf was Joyce Butler.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Piney Woods Jamboree, dinner was catered by Crayton’s BBQ and Kristina Marshall provided dessert.
