Minden city officials along with representatives from Cricket Wireless and AT&T gathered for two grand opening events this past Friday, April 28, to welcome a new Cricket Wireless location and launch a new cell site.
The new Cricket Wireless employees are excited to begin serving the Minden community with simple and transparent plans starting at only $30 per month with no annual contract. They are offering unlimited talk and text plans that include monthly taxes and a wide selection of smartphones from Samsung, LG, Alcatel, Motorola and others.
“Our goal is to give customers something to smile about,” said Owen Bullock, market director for Cricket Wireless. “That’s why we deliver a simple, smart wireless experience that people deserve.”
Based on net adds, AT&T has the fastest growing prepaid portfolio in the U.S., which includes Cricket Wireless (based on net prepaid line additions in 2022). This is the fourth consecutive year where more customers chose Cricket Wireless or AT&T Prepaid than any other prepaid provider in the United States.
The new store front is located at 332 Homer Road. They are open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and closed on Sundays.
After wrapping things up at the new store, the group traveled to the new AT&T cell tower. The new tower will play a major role in expanding AT&T’s 5G network across the city, giving residents, businesses and visitors a bigger boost in their wireless connectivity.
“We strive for our customers to have a great experience using our services. Investing in our wireless network is just one of the ways we work to provide better coverage for the community,” said AT&T Regional Director Levar Greenhouse.
From 2019 to 2021, AT&T has invested more than $1.1 billion in their wireless and wireline networks in Louisiana. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
“High-speed connectivity is a differentiator for communities across Louisiana,” said Greater Minden Chamber Chairwoman Jennifer Spurlock. “As a result of these investments in enhanced connectivity, I applaud AT&T for delivering greater reliability in the communications services available here in Minden.”
