Lance Corporal Willie Purfoy Seamster was born on 8 Jan 1949 in Minden, Louisiana. His parents are not listed in Find a Grave.  He was in the United States Marine Corps and achieved a rank of E3 at his death.  His MOS: O311: RIFLEMAN. His Unit: 1ST PLT, 1 CO, 3RD BN, 27TH MARINES, 1ST MARDIV, IIIMAF. 

His tour started on May 20, 1968, and he was killed one month later June 15, 1968.  He was 19 at his death.  He was killed at Quang Nam Province, South Vietnam by hostile file and died outright.

His body was recovered and he was buried at Growing Valley Cemetery at Goodwill, Webster Parish, Louisiana, USA. 

He will be honored at our Armed Forced Day Celebration.  Please remember his sacrifice and the freedom he gave us.
