The KTBS 3 Community Caravan may be seen making its way around Minden this week, June 5 – 9.
Veteran journalist and reporter Rick Rowe will be highlighting certain locations around town.
“We always get a great return on investment from this program, and we will continue to do it as long as it works for us,” said Webster Parish Convention and Visitors Commission Executive Director Serena Gray.
On Monday Rowe joined Gray for a segment on Bayou Dorcheat and the brand-new kayak launch dock in Dixie Inn.
Tuesday they will be visiting with Tom Arnold, owner of Ol’ West BBQ, for their Tasty Tuesday.
On Wednesday, KTBS will be highlighting local Behind the Badge hero Tommy Maddox, a patrol deputy for the Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Wrapping things up on Thursday, they will be having lunch at Under Dawgs Sports Grill.
The owners of Under Dawgs, Ricky and Claudine Thomas, are looking forward to the extra publicity and getting to showcase everything the restaurant has to offer.
“To say ‘thank you’ to Rick Rowe would be an understatement for what he did for Claudine and I over a year ago,” said Ricky Thomas. “Mr. Rowe came into Under Dawgs and within an hour told a story to his audience about our business that no one else could have delivered. This man is an asset to his television station and to North Louisiana.”
