
Doyline defeats Stanley in pitchers’ duel
Both teams were strong on the mound Monday, but Doyline Panthers defeated Stanley High School 3-2. Panther pitchers allowed just one hit to Stanley High School.
Dakota Stewart was on the pitcher’s mound for Doyline. The righty went two innings, allowing one run on one hit, striking out three and walking one.
#32 was on the mound for Stanley High School. The bulldog lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out six and walking zero. #20 and #8 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
J.D. Bryant led the Panthers with three hits in three at-bats.
#9 went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Stanley High School in hits.
Doyline takes victory over Stanley
Doyline Panthers took home a 4-1 victory over Stanley High School in the second game Monday.
Doyline opened up scoring in the first inning by scoring two runs when Noah Spears tripled.
Austin Arbaugh led things off on the hill for Doyline. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking zero.
#22 was on the mound for Stanley High School. He surrendered two runs on one hit over two innings, striking out three. #15 and #28 entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Cayden Mingo, Dakota Stewart, and Spears all had one hit to lead the Panthers.
Stanley High School didn’t commit a single error in the field. #2 had the most chances in the field with five.
