Springhill Police have arrested a man who shot another recently.
According to Police Chief Will Lynd, the shooting took place at Camelot Apartments in Springhill.
“We received a warrant for Vester Lane Jr. for a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and illegal use of a firearm in a crime of violence,” Lynd said. “He was arrested in Springhill Monday morning.”
Lynd said Lane’s girlfriend let them enter the residence to make the arrest.
“But she wouldn’t allow us to search the residence, so now we are waiting for a search warrant,” he said.
Lynd said Lane shot another man while at the apartment building.
“The individual was shot twice, but it wasn’t life threatening,” Lynd said.
