A break in the weather made an almost perfect scenario for the annual Fourth of July ceremony at Eagle Park on Turner’s Pond in Minden.

Wiley Pevy Post 74 and others who served in the military performed the changing of the flags while a special wreath was placed for loved ones who are missing in action, were killed in action or have since died as Taps was played.

Special commendations were made to the families of Roy Kirkham and Terry Snook. Snook’s plaque will be placed on the Wall of Honor at Eagle Park.
