A portion of Interstate 20 east and westbound is closed as of 1:30 a.m. today and will be closed several hours, according to Minden Police Chief Jared McIver.
An 18-wheeler overturned on the eastbound side near the Hwy. 531 exit in the early hours. Two other vehicles were involved, however, the chief said there were no serious injuries.
“The truck was carrying an oxygen displacement chemical and will require hours and hours of clean up,” McIver said. “Minden Fire Department is on the scene, Louisiana State Police and Hazmat.”
Traffic between exit 47 (Minden/Sibley) to exit 52 is being diverted to U.S. Hwy. 80.
More information will be forthcoming.
