Grab your brooms (or bikes), throw on your best witchy attire and get ready for a whimsical ride – A Witches Ride – through downtown Minden on October 19.
A local group of ladies, also known as the “Opossum Possè” Brunch Club have begun the early stages of planning for the first of hopefully many “Witches Ride of Minden” events. The Head Witch in Charge, Sarah Watson Overall is excited to bring this ride to “The Friendliest City in the South.”
This is an effort to not only have a good and spooky time, but to bring the community together and raise money for one lucky charity.
Tickets will go on sale on August 1 for the ladies-only ride. You must be 18 or older to participate, but husbands, children and pets are encouraged to come participate as “parade watchers.” Throws will be allowed.
Participants may either walk, ride a bike, golf cart or side-by-side.
There will be a costume contest, so dress to impress.
The ride will end with a block party at Miller Quarters Park to celebrate the start of the fall season and to recognize the 2023 selected charity.
