I hope everyone is as excited for football season as I am. Tomorrow night 9/7/23 at 7:30 Minden’s own L’Jarius Sneed and the defending Champion Kansas City Chiefs kick off the NFL Football season against the Detroit Lions in Arrowhead Stadium, which I consider the best NFL Stadium in my opinion. Probably wouldn’t have this opinion if it wasn’t for Ms. Jane Sneed giving me sideline passes and tickets to a game last year. Again, thank you so much Ms. Jane.
With L’Jarius being from the same town I’m from and a friend of mine, I am extremely excited to see what this season will have in store. L’Jarius on the field is always looking to force a turnover from opposing offenses but off the field he is always giving back to the community.
For the past 2 years, L’Jarius has run a campaign with two local Kansas City restaurants Zarda Bar-B-Q and Hy-vee with a meal called the KC Takeaway. The campaign runs starting September 6, and runs through the end of the Chiefs’ season with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit L’Jarius’ “Turn the Corner for Big Brother Big Sisters Kansas City.”
