The Wolves got back on track after two losses at N. Desoto last week. The 7th grade team got their second win of the season with a 14-6 win over Rusheon. Quarterback Kaiden King rushed for 2 touchdowns. Jordon Carey led the team in rushing. Broxton Oestrich made some big plays at receiver. The defense was led by Jontavious Anderson and Isiah Tate. After losing their first game since the 6th grade last week 22-14, the 8th grade Wolves bounced back to defeat the Rams 24-0. The game got off to a slow start as Rusheon used a lot of time in between plays, only allowing the Wolves 2 possessions the entire first half. The score would be 0-0 going into the half.
In the second half, the Wolves turned it up and got 2 scores on defense. Lucas Owens Jr and Bennett Speer both returned an interception for a touchdown. Abreon Curry also had an interception in the game. Jaden Johnson hit Markell Miller on a 20-yard screen pass for the Wolves’ only offensive score. Javon Calloway, Marquan Miller and Holt Holliday had QB sacks on the night. Tikendrick Jenkins and LeTarrance Goldston led the offensive line. The 8th grade team is 4-1 on the season. The Wolves’ next game is Tuesday at home against Keithville.
