Guest speaker for this Thursday’s Minden Lions Club meeting will be Sara McDaniel.
The journey of this real estate entrepreneur, home renovation expert and creative began after a devastating divorce propelled her into leaving her old life behind, including a career as a successful senior account executive and education consultant. Sara moved back to Minden and, after many challenges, began the transformation process of a 1926 Louisiana cottage near Academy Park.
Pushing herself way out of her comfort zone, Sara has shared her journey and daily inspiration on her wildly popular Instagram Tik Tok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube platforms (about 600,000 followers strong collectively) chronicling how the transformation and rebuilding of the cottage paralleled her life being rebuilt by faith, hope and determination.
Today, she owns and manages more than 20 doors, including four Airbnbs, and is providing business, life and home renovating tips and more daily. These charming spaces are being used for retreats, getaway adventures and more. Sara also helped secure Minden as a featured town for HGTV Hometown Kickstart with Ben and Erin Napier and assisted production. She is currently featured on In With The Old on Magnolia Network (founded by Chip & Joanna Gaines), where she transforms the legendary Fuller White House in Minden.
Sara also co-founded P.I.N.K. Creatives to help other creative women reach their goals and desired success level. She believes open collaboration, transparency and sharing her knowledge and experience is the best way to help other women elevate their creative businesses.
As a tourism commissioner for Webster Parish, Sara works tirelessly in promoting our parish, bringing tourists in from near and far. Sara’s drive and passion continues to this day and her next big undertaking is always around the corner.
The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 Pine St. in downtown Minden.
(Editor’s note: Sara’s newest project will be featured tonight (Wednesday,) at 9 p.m. on Magnolia Network.)
