Time winding down in football contest

This is the final week of Webster Parish Journal’s Football Pick’em Contest. Last week was the first time our Week 11 Minden’s Clayton Rainey played, and he is our happy winner on the receiving end of $100.

While Rainey was unavailable at this time for a photo, he will have it taken later at our title sponsor Under Dawgs Sports Grill, the gathering place featuring a home-field atmosphere.

With no Thursday games on the schedule, you have until 4 p.m. Friday to get in your picks, and Webster Parish has 2 high school teams advancing in the playoffs.

Anyone 18 and older is eligible to participate in the contest. All it takes is an email address and a combination of skill and a little luck. The two remaining parish high school teams, as well as some colleges and pro teams are listed in the contest. And just like the Journal, there’s no cost to enter.

Signing up for the contest only takes a couple of minutes. Log on to https://form.jotform.com/232385564755163 and follow the instructions.

Webster Parish Journal thanks Under Dawgs, Yocom Law Firm and all our sponsors. Please patronize these businesses including Brown Chrysler, Ace Hardware, Holcomb’s Body Shop, A.J. Price, Inc. and Minden Athletic. And thank you, readers, for participating.
