Knights end season with playoff loss

North Webster Knights ended their 2023 football season Friday with a 42-12 loss to St. James in the LHSAA Football Playoffs.

The first quarter saw a fast pace and ended with St. James 21 and NWHS 6.

With under a minute left in the second quarter, St. James’ quarterback completed a pass for a touchdown. St. James 27, NWHS 6. The PAT was good, bringing St. James’ score to 28 as the game took a halftime break.

At the start of the third quarter, St. James kicked off to the Knights who failed to score. With 10 minutes to go in the third, St. James QB completed another pass for a touchdown. St. James 34, NWHS 6. Another point after was good; score St. James 35, NWHS 6.

North Webster scored on a completed pass, with five minutes to go in the quarter. A rushing two-point conversion failed. St. James 35, NWHS 12.

With four minutes to go in the game, St. James scored with a rushing touchdown. The PAT was good, and the final score was St. James 42, NWHS 12.
